SATI'RDAY’.S RACE. SYDNEY, June 29 The “Daily Telegraph,” conceding llonnan’s gameness, declares that he is not in the same class as Goodsell. Beach describes Goodsell as a remarkably clever sculler, capable of doing much better and with a wonderful future before him. His victory was most decisive, but Hannan showed g-uneness in a heart-breaking, stern chase nearly all the way. Keferrin" to Hannan, Beach said that he was shooting his side badly, causing the boat to bury at the bow. HANNAN’S COMMENT. SYDNEY, June 28. Hannan, congratulating Goodsell on I his win, said that he deserved his success as he was the better man on the day. He added that he was not at all satisfied with his own condition. He did not think that he had had sufficient time to train, and the stake money had worried him. The wet weather also interfered. He would like another match with Goodsell.
