j A SEA AROUND FORBES. (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association ) SYDNEY. JtSe 25. The town of Forbes is surrounded by an inland sea extending for many miles. Floods in the coastal areas are subsiding. FORBES UNDER WATER. (Received June 25 at 11.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 25. The flood is still rising at Forbes. All business is now at a standstill there, the business section being cut off from the residential section. The town is a vast sheet of water. Details are not available of the damage in the surrounding district. All the telegraph and telephone lines are down. STUPENDOUS FLOOD NEAR ROTORUA. ROTORUA. June 25. Five inches of rain have fallen in this district. The Rangitaiki river is in high flood. The coastal road is blocked. A service car proceeding coastward was enclosed by waters between Teteko and Whakatane.
