RESCUES MANY. FROM CAPSIZED YACHT. (Received June 16 at 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 15. Kahanamoku, the Hawaiian swimmer figured prominently in the rescue of a fishing party of seventeen, aboard tho Newport yacht “Thelma,” which capsized. Kahanaimoku made six trips on a surf board, bringing one ashore each trip. The swimmer then assisted other rescuers to secure six more of the\ Thelma’s party. Then he located the bodies of five who had been drowned.
