N.Z. OAT CROP. NO SHORTAGE THIS YEAR. WELLINGTON, April 20. Th<- yield of oats in New Zealand this season is estimated by the Government Statistician, Mr Malcolm Fraser, at 5,000,000 bushels, as compared with 1,964,511 bushels last year, which was a bad season. Th°re is therefore, ac. cording to the report furnished by th* Statistician to the Minister of Internal Affairs, no likelihood of there being any shortage of oats in the Dominion METAL ALIRKET LONDON, April 20. Copper is £59 18s 9d and £6O 18s 9d per ton; load £3l 6s 3d and £3l; spelter £34 5s and £33 3s 9d; tin £323 17s 6d; silver, standard 31£ per oz: fine, 37£d.
