AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN 1 . WRIT AGAINST UNION OFFICIAL. SYDNEY, April 21. I'he Equity Court granted a writ of attachment against Jacob Johannsen, the assistant Secretary of the Seamens Union for alleged contempt of Court. The application was made by Thomas Campbell, ship’s greaser, a member of the original Fordsdalo crew, who asked the issue of the writ as statement by Johannsen that he was not a a member of the Seamens’ Union had prevented from obtaining employment. Campbell had previously been granted an injunction against offirials’of the Union, restraining them from declaring him a non-member of the Union.
