Siork owners are anxiously awaiting rain. as unless it speedily conies, the autumn :■?;,! winter lambing will be ruined. There has been very little rain since Christmas, and the trouble is accentuated b v plague of grasshoppers. Thp scarcity of fodder in some districts is so bad that the stock owners are preparing to hand feed their slock.
