And so it was with Clark. TTis wealth came from tho mines and it is not recorded ho over added to tho sum total of the nation’s wealth through his own efforts. Other mon went down into the mines and brought forth riches to place at his feet. Clark owned the United A erde copper mine at Jerome, Arizona, perhaps the richest mine in tho world, said to have yielded its owner an income in excess of 12,000,000 dollars a year. Ho owned other copper, gold and silver mines which added to his income.
