I’lie work of the Society speaks for iL-’ll. and many a. mother now anises '* lin«* healthy baby which, but tor the Plunket Society would have passed away from this world as one unable to live. Ihe Plunket Society encourages all that is pure and natural in niotnerh<n>d. and discourages the jazzing, spot ting, smoking, cabaret loving woman, who hands her responsibility as a mother over to a stranger, so that -Im may enjoy a little false pleasure. With sin li an object, and with such ideals, the Society deserves the solid support of all right-thinking incn and j women. The Greymouth branch of the Society intends holding a “Shop” in the sample rooms opposite the Town Hall on Saturday next, for the purpose of raising funds to firmly establish the branch in Greymouth. Already the Com mi t tee have secured rooms at the Bank of Ne f w South Wales building for consulting and demonstrating, and a PlunKet Nurse will take up her residence here at the latter end of March. The '» nr ami furnishing of the rooms, and • lhe salary of the nurse have to be raised by public subscription, and it is for this reason the Committee are j holding the “Shop” on Saturday. May they be successful in their praiseworthy object!
