Malloch, who has been on a brief visit to Grey mouth in connection with the wedding of his sister to Mr W. G. Teller, returns to the North Island this morning. The death occurred on Tuesday at the Buller Hospital of Mr John Pou nelly, aged 63, who had been in the Dominion only a couple of years, and was a resident, of South Africa, for many years. Ho was a single man. and a native of Durham. Mr C. A. Marshall in charge of the Tourist Office in Invercargill and formerly in charge of the Greymouth Office, has been transferred to Wellington. As previously stated in the M Argus” it is understood that Mr IL Firth, at present at Greymouth, wilt succeed Mr Marshall at InvercargilT. Dr. C. L. Morice, formerly medical officer at the Grey Hospital, and now resident in Wellington, leaves on February 21, by the s.s. Rotorua for an extended trip 1o England, Franco and Italy. He will be accompanied by Mrs Morice, and expects to be absent from the Dominion for about nine months. There was a large attendance on Tuesday night at the Salvation Army Hall to bid farewell to Lieutenant Parkinson, who is proceeding to Queenstown to take charge of the Salvation Army work in that district. The bandmaster, Bro. J. Coadwell, Mrs Coadwell and Lieutenant Gray, expressed words of appreciation to Lieutenant Parkinson on behalf of the members of the local corps for his assistance. All expressed their sincere hope that the Lieutenant would have a successful term in Queenstown. Items were contributed by Sister Trainor, Ensign Toomer, and the Band. The wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon by the Rev. F. Rule, of Christchurch, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Tainui Street, of Mr James George Telfer, of the Postal Department, Hokitika, eldest son of Mr and Mrs George Telfer, of Cheviot, Canterbury, and Miss Muriel Stuart Malloch, only daughter of Mr and Mrs E. T. Malloch, Leonard Street. The bride was dressed in white crepe-de-chine, and W’ore a white veil, and wreath of orange blossoms. She was attended by her cousin, Misa C. N. Malloch, of Christchurch, who wore a dress of powder* blue jersey silk, and a black hat. Mrs Malloch, wore a black coat frock and black hat. The duties of best man devolved upon Mr E. A. Malloch, brother of the bride. The service in the church was choral, and Mias B. Drake, w*ho presided at the organ, played the “Wedding March” as the wedding party left, the church. After the wedding the bride’s parents entertained their guests. Mr and Mrs Telfer left later by motor car, on their honeymoon. The bride’s travelling dress was a grey garbadine tunic costume and grey hat.,
