Waiuta Miner MYSTERIOUS FIRE IN HUT. During the early hours of yesterday morning, a fatal and mysterious fire, in which a miner named William McCullen lost bis life, occurred at Waiuta. The unfortunate man, who was between 30 and 40 years of age, and whose wife resides at Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington, lived by himself in a small huL and was last seen about 8.30 o’clock the previous evening, when he was entering the hut.
