British Increase NEARLY 60 SQUADRONS (Received December 4 at 8.1,5 p.m.) LONDON, December J. The Air Minister, Sir Samuel Hoar.? interview(‘<l regarding the air expan sion programme of Iho Government said that it was the-same as when he previously was in office. He anticipated that tho programme would include .52 air squadrons for home defence, 18 of which would be fully formed hy the end of this year; and also five reserve squadrons, which ho expected to be completed in 1925. One of the chief aims, said the Minister was the extension of the route to India ami Australia, which tho Government had constantly in view as part of a scheme for closer intercourse and consultation with tho Dominions. ’Pho coming Estimates would contain provision foi financial encouragement in tho establishment of aeroplane clubs.
