BY DIVORCE DAMAGES. i'( r Press Association I. WELLINGTON, December 3. George Vance Shannon appeared before Sir R. Stout for public examination in bankruptcy, following the award of £l5OO damages against l;ln> as co-respondent in a divorce action. He stated in evidence that he was single, and bad married the respondent, the former wife of Mnttio Sarchieh, and lived on a leased farm at Wanganui. He described how prior to the divorce proceedings, lie ran through a large amount of inherited money. in drinking and other extravagance. He was now in debt apart from t* damages. The Judge sail that bankrujit laid shown that he had no money since the divorce. here is no evidence to show that h had done away with any property. At orfler was made that Shannon had passel his public examination.
