A meeting of persons interested in wireless decided to suggest to the Federal Postmaster-General that band wave lengths of from two hundred and 50 metres to. six hundred metres be set aside for use by broadcasting companies desirous of supplying free service. This is intended to overcome objections against selling and receiving sets in connection with broadcasting programmes, as the lengths syetified contained two commercial ’cr.gtbs. The meeting agreed to tho proposal if another band is selected. BRISBANE. August 19. y. Arvier, of Brisbane, won the Kings Prize after a shoot off with N. Woodyatt, each registering 276.
