SOUTH ISLAND TEAM. One (.'oast player who should have stood a good chance for the South Island ladies’ team is Miss J. Lockington, of Reefton. She was nominated by the Reefton Club. The Reefton “Timos” says:— “Iler non-inelusion in the team will come as a. surprise, particularly as she is acknowledged by all the Coast players to be the best in all the Coast teams. Miss Lockington has proved her ability as a player on every West Coast ground. She is fast and accurate and the best scoring player, and Ims played consistently good hockey all through this season, as well as the two previous years. The local Ladies’ Club should issue a vigorous protest to the selectors against their selection’s non-incliwion in the team.”
