EAST COAST RAILWAY.

A Section Opened. f . NAPIER, July 21. The inauguration of a Napier-Esk-dale train passenger and goods service took place to-day, it being the first section of the East Coast Railway from* the Napier end. There was no ceremony to-day, but a commencement has been made in connection with Lord Jellicoe’s laying the foundation stone of a new Boys’ Home at Eskdale. The train services will be maintained henceforth. The new Boys’ Honie<, in brick, will accommodate thirty lads, who will be trained as farmers.
