Kakapo, ss., sailed yesterday afternoon for Westport to complete loading coal for Wellington and Miramar. Waimea, s.s., is due- here this morning from Wellington via Nelson and Westport with general cargo. Regulus, s.s., is due here to-day from Picton via Westport. Ngakuta, s.s., is expected to sail early this morning for Lyttelton with coal and timber. » Orepuki, s.s., was due to get away for Lyttelton with timber about 1 a.m. to-day. Opua, s.s., is due. here, early this morning from Lyttelton to load for Lyttelton with timber. Baden Powell, s.s., is due here tomorrow' from Wellington to load for that port. Karori, s.s., sails on Monday for southern ports with coal and timber. Yesterday she was idle because of a lack of cargo. Tees, s.s., is due here to-day from Lyttelton to load timber for that port. The dispute over the new harbour steamer Muritai has been settled, says a Wellington message. The Eastbourne Borough has agreed to take her over, notwithstanding her deficient speed, but new- propellers are to be provided, which it is expected, will raise lite speed to that required, and if not, the point wilFbe settled by arbitration. telegrams. Alexander, s.s., left Motueka yesterday at 1.30 p.m. for Westport. Kaiapoi, s.s., is due early from Napier. Komata, s.s., sails at 1 p.m. to-day for Wellington, taking the following passengers:— Mesdames Mcßean, Slec, Gower and two children; Misses Elley and Cochrane; Messrs Earls, Mcßean, Quested, Skelton, Gower, McGill, Hastings, Atkinson, Seaton and Dobson.
