PROPERTY MARKET
Building Sections Selling A BOOM IN GREYMOUTH. “The property market is very good at present,” an “Argus” reporter was told by a land dealer yesterday. “In the last couple of months we’ve sold eleven sections, most of them in the upper part of the town. The town must extend southwards if indications are to be taken into consideration. Just recently in Marsden Boad we sold eight sections in a row, which are to be built on in the near future.” There was little sale for houses, lie said, because people were All taking up land on which to build. A great number had taken up land recently in the hope that the Government Advances to Settlers Bill would be carried. “I’ve not seen a house 'To Let’ for about two years,” said tie agent, and people either want to buy sections or to rent houses. There is a '?oom iu building going on, and it is about time for housing conditions are bad here, and the demand must be supplied.” As far s land values went, they were much Ihe same as for 'he past year or so.
