Wimbledon Finals LONDON, July 8. Finals day at Wimbledon attracted a large attendance including the King and Queen, and a largo number of Americans. In the Men’s Singles final, Johnston (America) beat Hunter, 6/0, 6/3, 6/1. Johnston overwhelmed Hunter in the Singles final, the winner’s steady play contrasting with Hunter’s fierce driving. Other finals resulted:— Gentlemen’s Doubles: Lycott and Godfree beat Degomar and Flaquer 6/3, 6/4, 3/6, 6/3. Ladies’ Doubles: Mdlle Lenglen and Miss Ryan beat Miss Colyer and Miss Austen, 6/3, 6/1. Mixed Doubles : Lycett and Miss Ryan beat Doan and Mrs Shopherd Barron 6/4, 7/5. In the All England Plate, Washer beat Ritchie 6/3, 6/4. In the Ladies’ Doubles Mdlle Lenglen and Miss Ryan beat Mrs Lambert Chambers and Mrs MeKane 6/1, 6/2. Since 1919 Mrs MeKane has played Mdlle Lenglen five times and has never won yet. Mrs MeKane put up a plucky fight on this occasion, but never looked like winning. DAVIS CUP GAMES. LONDON, July 9. In the Davis Cup matches at Eastbourne, Flaqucur (Spain) beat Van Lenneppe (Holland), 5/7, 6/3, 8/6, 6/1. Degomar (Spain) beat Van Der Feen (Holland), 6/3, 6/0, 7/5.
