HAVELOCK FLOODS
Waiau Family’s Plight. (Per I’ress Association). BLENHEIM, May 10. A southerly buster treated Havelock and suburbs to 905 points of rain. The result was the heaviest flood since October 24th, 1900. Old residents declare it was the highest flood in their memory. Considerable dnmag-o occurred to fences on the low-lying flats adjoining the river, but there was not much loss of stock.
