JUDGE SUGGESTS A SURGEON A “EUGENIC” ABERRATION. [A. and N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, October, la. Mr Justice Roche, in sentencing Charles Seymour, aged 27, who is an epileptic to three years’ penal servitude, for stabbing a woman in Hyde I’ark, said that he was sorry for all ‘pilepti.es. Seymour could not be adnittod to an asylum, but would be treated according to his health. He (the Judge) thought that the medical profession would perform public service if it earnestly studied the feasbility of sterilising both men ::nd women epileptics, instead of allowing them to propagate disease and crime.
