HOTEL WORKERS.
UNION MEETING. Another very successful meeting of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees’ Union was held in the Lyceum Hall last night, several new members joining, and all taking a very keen interest in the ■work of the Union. A Committee was set up to re-draft the Canterbury Award to suit local conditions, and delegatus ■were appointed to meet the employers re the same. Correspondence was received from the Wellington and Christchurch Hotel Workers’ Unions, guaranteeing to assist the local Union, financially, and in obtaining an award. A TIAIE LIMIT. The Union unanimously agreed that the proposed agreement with the Employers must be satisfactorily settled before tho General Elections are held. Air 11. O’Malley, Secretary of the Wellington Union, will be invited to represent the hotel workers at the coming conference wit’i the Employ- !
