The star attraction wiL i ba “The Girl in the Taxi,” featuring i Mr and Mrs Carter de Haven in their farce comedy de luxe. Bertie steals j his father’s best clothes, hides in a taxi in order to evade his stern parent, and then the fun begins. The picture teems and sparkles with mirth-provok-ing, ludicrous situations, trip-hammer like in their vim and dash, with a whizz-bang knockout, and “slam-’em” twist in every foot. And the climax: Better dig into you vest pocket to see if you have your watch! Why Ask Bertie. Mrs de Haven, as “The Girl in the Taxi,” is the jinx for the blissful close. It is a comedy that will make you gasp for breath for the next laugh. “The Girl in the Taxi” is a comedy feature that excels “Twin Beds.” The 9th Episode of “Hidden Dangers,” “an inch from Doom,” will be included in to-night’s bill, also the Parliamentary Tour of South Sea Islands, a two-thousand feet film of great interest. There will then be the final football match for the “Seddon Shield,” “Nelson Versus Buller,” a six hundred feet film, that should be of great interest to all sports. The usual Gazette and reviews will he shown. SUNDAY’S PROGRAMME. Next Sunday Pollards will present J. Warren Kerrigan in a gripping story ot intrigue packed with melodrama, entitled “The Dream Cheater,” also Harold Lloyd in one of his latest comedies.
