DUNEDIN RACES. YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, October 12. The Spring meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club commenced to-day in beau- A tiful weather, and the course was in’™ good order. The attendance was only fair. The totaiieator handled £19,200, compared with £22,801 for the corresponding day of last year’s spring meeting. Results: — Spring Hurdles. —Grange (I- Tilson) 1, Londonderry 2, Strathglass 3. Also ran—Romance, Good Start, Mazama, Old Gold, Mystico, Innesfallen, Claverhouse. Won by a length and a half; a short length between second and third. Mystico was fourth, just behind the fast-finishing Strathglass. Time, 3min 20 4-ssec. Maungatua Handicap.—Many Kittle (D. Catton) 1, Warhaven 2, Ardour 3. Also ran —Calibration, Liqueur, Morse Signal, Quarrelsome, Matata, Lomagundi, Lovesign, Frenchman, Gunlayer, San Salvador, Orange Bitters, Rapid Rivers, Brisk, Adjutor. Won easily by three lengths. Lovesigu was fourth. Time, Imin 28sec. MeLean Stakes.—Top Score (Emerson) 1, Ballymena 2, Lucinette 3. Also ran—The Parisian, Axle, Owlescombe (braeketted with winner), Bonnie Lake, Courtly Rose. The course was rather holding in -consequence of the previous heavy rain. Results:— Maiden Plate—Rosullus 1, Sussex 2, Battleplane 3. Scratched—Lady Frederick, Homeric. Won by two lengths. Tune, Imin 19see. Hurnnui Hurdles—Mimiwhangata 1, Tom Moore 2, Bezant 3. Ser. —Multiplane, Scrap o’ Paper, Welshman, Oraroa. Won by three lengths. Time, 3min 21sec. Kensington Handicap—Lady Hill 1, Lady Patience 2, Dead Sweet 3. The only starters. Won by half a length Time, Imin 31 l-ssec. Whangarei .Cup—Gold Plane 1, Stork 2, Spirit Level 3. All started. Won by a head. Time, 2min 25sec. Hikurangi Handicap—Semper Idem 1, Marble Bell 2, Elsie Aroha 3. Ser. —Lady Hill, Pengwen. Won by a nose. Time, Imin 45see.
