ANOTHER CHANNEL ATTEMPT. (Received August 5, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, August 4. A Boulogne message states that the French swimmer Michel abandoned a second attempt to swim the Channel .when half-way across, after being nine ! hours in the water.
