REPAIRS TO RONA.

DUNEDIN, July 20. Tho wli.olo of the repair work to tho Colonial Sugar Co.’s steamer Rona will be carried out in Calliope Dock, Auckland, where the vessel now lies. Tho job will be one of tho largest of its kind ever carried out in New Zealand and will tak-e fully three months to complete. It is expected that it will cost about £50,000. Messrs Stevenson and Cook, of Fort Chalmers, the successful tenderers, arc sending north to-morrow a number of boilermakers and gas men, together with necessary gear.
