GREYMOUTH CLUB. The second round of the Ladies Championships was played on Saturday and resulted in the following:— Mrs J. Hannan won from Miss Wylde, 8 up and 7. Mrs Thomas won from Mrs Oxford, 3 up and L Miss Griffen won from Miss Hambleton, 3 up and 1. Miss Kettle won from Mrs A Smith, 6 up and 5. Tho qualifying round for the B. Championship will bo played on Saturday. 'fhe draw for same will appear in a later issue. hi the Greymouih Club’s men’s Achampionship semi-final, Sime beat .Matheson 4 up and 2 Io play, the latter playing well against the champion Meldrum beat Kent 3 and J the latter having hard luck at the l.th hole, through an approach sh'.’t striking a post. Sime and Meldrum pla.y oil. in the final this week-end over 3'5 boles. In the B. championship Murfin boat Beattie 3 and 1, and in the final beat O’Neill by tho same .i. Sime did a round in 72 (2 under bogey) al Omoto on Saturday. KIRKWOOD HAS A WIN. NEW YORK, July 22. At Philadelphia, Hagen and Kirkwood defeated Sarazen and Hoffner in the open championship of Pennsylvania. by two up. The best ball foursome cards were Hagen 71, Kirkwood 77, Sarazen 78, Hoffner 85.
