THE WEATHER.
WELLINGTON, July 19. The present indications arc for strong westerlies, backing to southerlies northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and south to southeast winds prevailing elsewhere. Cold unsettled showery weather may be expected generally, with snow in the higher levels in the South Island. The barometer has a rising tendency.
