Mr Rogers promised a deputation that Parliament this week would deal with tlie ratification of the New Zealand tariff agreement. AGREEMENT TO BE PUBLISHED JULY 28th. WELLINGTON, July 19. The Minister of Customs (Hon. Downie Stewart) stated to-night that arrangements had been mad*o with the Australian Government for the presentation of a tariff agreement between Australia amt New Zealand in the Parliament of both countries on July 28. It had been arranged that presentation should take place some day this week, but owing to the uncertainly as to when the no-confidence debate would finish and the necessity for :l few days’ notice on either side, it has been decided to postpone the matter for another week.
