A conference of union secretaries adopted a scheme of irritation strikes and go-slow, with a view to reducing production, in retaliation for the reduction of wages and contemplated revision to the 48 hours’ week. Detailed instructions have been prescribed for individual industries sucn as butchers and shop assistants who will be expected to notify customers of defects in goods, whilst factory hands will be urged to refuse to adulterate various articles of foodstuffs, and otherwise expose trade secrets.
