I I £9oo—ln one deduction, £63; income 1 tax. £45. a i £looo—Tn one deduction, £80; in- 1 : come tax, £56. t £l2so—ln one deduction, £113; in- ‘‘ 1 come tax, £B6. e The officer over £BOO was reduced in t full at one stroke, whereas the reduc- y tions for those of £BOO and below was f provided for in three stages —two of r which have been made. Even if the ( cut was made the employee at £t9o was exempt therefrom, and ho would I be reduced no further; but the £BOO a year man might lose another £lO. 8 making £45 in all, as compared with £l5 in all for the £l5O employee.
