SIR JOSEPH WARD.
NOT A CANDIDATE FOR WAIRAu. INVERCARGILL, July 19. A Press Association message from Invercargill states; Sir Joseph Ward told a reporter to-night that, there was no truth in the Blenheim rumour that he intended to contest the Wairau scat with the goodwill of Mr R. McCullum, the sitting member. The matter had not been suggested by him, nor by Mr McCullum.
