GEMS WORTH £lO,OOO STOLEN. I LONDON, July 16. 1 Another <1; ring jewel robbery of £lO,OOO worth of gems is reported. They were stolen from the Hotel Cecil, while a Greek merchant named Goupoules was enjoying an after-lunch cigar on the launge with a locked case behind him. llis attention was diverted for a moment and the case was stolen. The alarm was immediately raised, but the thief escaped. It is apparently the work of a gang who have been operating in London for several weeks. — DIAMOND NECKLACE STOLEN. 4 PARIS. July 16. | Three thieves have been sentenced * to eight, seven and five rears respee- I tively for stealing a diamond necklace j worth £16,000.
