TAX 02i STATE WORKERS. SYDNEY, July J. The “Nationalists” will make a further onslaught on the workers by ordering that in the Government departments hitherto not working on Saturdays, the men must return for Saturday work. The Ministers state that they intend to bring the Government departments into line with the outside firms. The Government will also take steps immediately the session opens to restore the 48 hours week. MOVIES FOR SCHOOLS. It is quite on the cards that the Eduaction Department will acquire its own movie outfits and use pictures ?.* an aid to education. The Minister for Education (Mr Bruntncll) is considering the whole question of moving pictures for use in schools. Oilers have been made to supply pictures to the schools, the department to have the right to choose what pictures will be shown. On the other hand the departmental heads prefer to run the business, buying their own movie outfits, and later on doing their own producing of films. STATE TRAWLERS TO GO. The latest move by the “Nationallists” in the abolition of State enterprises is to prepare the way for th© abolition of {State trawlers. Despite the fact that the Labour Government turned a big loss in this department by the “Nationalists’’ into a paying proposition, the “Nationalist” Government is making up its mind that, like other State enterprises ,it must go in order to allow private enterprise every opportunity for profiteering from the public. LEADBEATER’S NAME REMOVED. An unusual incident was witnessed at the Sydney Lodge of the Theosophical Society, when stonemasons ■were

busy chipping off the name of Bishop Leadbeater. An official of the lodge said they did not wish the people to believe that had anything to do with the Sydney Lodge, hence they were taking his name from the foundation stone.
