By reason of Special Meeting held in the Borough Office, McGowan Street, Runanga, on MONDAY, July 10, 1922, notice is hereby given that the Runanga Borough Council will, at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held at the Borough Office, McGowan Street, Runanga, on the 26th day of JULY’, 1922, at 7 p.m., make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1922, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1923: A GENERAL RATE under Section 77, of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” of EIGHTPENCE FARTHING IN THE £ on Rate able Value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Runanga, on the basis of the UNIMPROVED VALUE. A CHARITABLE AID RATE under Section 41 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909,”

of 1 and 1-6 PENCE IN THE £ on the CAPITAL VALUE on the Valuation Roll of all Rateable Property within the Borough of Runanga, such rate being required to meet the contribution payable by the Runanga Borough Council to the Grey Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. A LIGHTING RATE under Section 88 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” *of SEVEN-SIX-TEENTHS OF A PENNY IN THE £, on the CAPITAL VALUE on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Runanga. A SPECIAL RATE under Section 5 (4) of “The Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921-22,” of 2 and 3-8 PENCE IN THE £ on the Rateable Value on the Valuation Roll of all Rateable Property within the Borough of Runanga on the basis of the UNIMPROVED VALUE, such rate being required to extinguish the Antecedent Liability (£291/2/3) as at March 31, 1922, and that it be an annual recurring rate until the said Antecedent Liability is extinguished. Also that the above Rates will be payable in one sum at the Town Clerk’s Office, McGowan Street, Runanga, on the 9th day of AUGUST, 1922.
