THEFT CASES.

PROBATION FOR ACCUSED. AUCKLAND, July 12. Four fishermen, named James Shirley, Alfred Larsen, Alfred Williams, and Henry Billyeald, who admitted theft from the wreck of the Wiltshire, were placed on a year’s probation, and ordered to pay costs. Clarence Evans James, for theft from his employer at Cambridge, was probationed for two years, the goods taken, consisting of printing material, to be returned to the owner.
