WOOL DUTY.

OPPOSED BY U.S.A. IMPORTERS. (Received Judo IS at 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK. June 16. The National Association of Retail Clothiers at Chicago, which claims that it imports 60 per cent of the wool con sumed in the United States, h: s inaugurated a campaign against the Bill before the U.S. Senate to impose a duty of 33 cents per pound on imported wool. The Association contends that such a duty on wool will increase clothing | juices by three to five dollars per suit.
