MISSING MAN FOUND.

SHELTERING UNDER A ROCK. WELLINGTON, June 16. The missing Tararua Hamper, E. J. Kime, was found yesterday by the search party, sheltering under a rock near the spot where he parted with his mate, Bollons, on Saturday morning, two hours beyond Alpha Hut, and slightly off the tr: ck. He was in bet ter condition than Bollons, and it is hoped to have him at Greytown by tomorrow noon. CARTERTON, June 16. The missing; man, Kime, was found yesterday afternoon by Mr F. W. Vosseler within twenty minutes of the top of (Mount Hector, alive and well, considering the privations and exposure lie had endured. He was on the sunny side of the mountain in the locality known as “The Beehives.’’ Ho had plenty of food, but no blankets or coverings, except his ordinary clothes. Word was brought into Greytown by Mr G. B. Brown. Vosseler and Kime spent the night at the Alpha hut. They reached Woodside today and took train to. Wellington. KIME DIES. CARTERTON, Juno 11. • The “Daily News” special report at 5 o’clock to-night states: —Kime died al Mount Alpha Hut. at 7 o’clock last tflght, £ix hpurs after he was found. F. W. Vosseler brought the body to Tauherenikau Hut, and left there at 1 p.m., arriving at Woodside at 4.35. Later the body was brought to Greytown, where an inquest will be 1 held. The rescue party have all ar- I rived hack at Grey town.
