The racing atmosphere is faithfully reproduced throughout. Tho hero, played by Gregory Scott, is a gentleman rider who wins a fortune and the girl of his heart by on-o supreme final effort in a race that will be long remembered as a screen triumph. Poppy Wyndham is in the leading feminine role and her charm, is striking ami attractive. Not a false note is struck throughout a series of thrilling scerfes, and the story is well knit, ami provides a hair raising climax. Not only does “A Dead Certainty” rival its predecessor “A Fortune at Stake,” but it is held by critics to be a superior feature in every way. To-night, at the Miners’ Hall, Runanga, Pollards present “Help Wanted —Male” or the romance of a telephone girl at the seaside with a bulldog. If yon get the glad eye from a pretty widow at. the seaside, and she had with her a ferocious bulldog, would you dare Air Alan? No longer wistful, but saucy and smart in her latest and snappies comedy. You will see Blanche Sweet as the attractive widow at the seaside. ‘‘Help Wanted—Male” is a cure for the blues in fine big doses.
