CLYDE IRONWORKS NOT CLOSING
SYDNEY. June 7. Premier Fuller announced that Cabinet has discussed fully the i"roatcned closing down of the Clyde works, and as the result of a conference between, tho management of the xvorks and the Railway Commission it is noxv reported that the outlook for ft continuance of activities xvus distinctly favourable. LATER. As a result of further negotiations, arrangements are being made for the Clyde Engineering Works to carry on, pending a final settlement of certain questions as to the interpretation of the contract with the Railway Commissioners. The Government has undertaker to tide the company over for a month, within xvhich time an inquiry will be held.
