NEW PLEA TO ENTER U.S.A. [A. and N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, June 6. The question whether the Japanese arc a white race will be argued before the United States Supreme Court. “Tlie Times” states that Mr Beck (American Solictor-General) now in London, says that a Japanese in Hawaii applied for naturalisation on the ground that the Japanese were a white race, and therefore were not barred by the colour clause.
