greymouth public servants. R EPR ESENT AT lONS TO GOVERNM ENT. Last evening there was held in Grey mouth a meeting of delegates representing the Public Service Association, the I'ost :nd Telegraph Department, the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and Railway Officers Institute. The following resolutions were unanimously carried by the meeting. •‘l. That this representative meeting of Public Servants of the above organisations protest ag' inst any further reductions in salaries until the drop in the cost of living warrants such reduclion. “2. That this meeting of delegates also request that a representative of the Board of Trade be asked to visit Grcvmouth for the purpose of inquiring ns to whether the prices of commodities here has followed the drop in the wholesal»‘ price.
