Their | Imcks were more at home in the wet go--1 ing than the Diggers, anti handled the ! greasy ball in fine- style. Rogers (full ; back) gave a capital exhibition, being very safe, (osier Morris, an old Rcpfton boy, was about the best back on the field. Watsmi. Ford. Poskin and Scott-Smith were the most prominent in the vanguard, the former playing a fine game. Fur Diggers, Meharry, Gilroy, Head ami Hands in the backs, and Exton, O’Regan, Egan and Willoughby ;■} the forwurds were conspicuous throughout. Th? Digger pack is very solid and quite up to Coast Club form, in f-i-t Exton, O’Regan, ami Egan are equal to rep football. These three : players would average about 15A st. and f have a thorough knowledge of the fin--.' points of the game.
