The Prefect of Bologna has issued an edict forbidding any- organised movements both on the part of the Communists and of the Fascist! from one province to another. This edict has led to an extraordinary ferment in Bologna. The Fascist! are answering a general mobilisation order issued by their heads. They are now flocking to the city of Bologna. There are some 30,000 of them already bivouacked in the city streets, all armed with cudgels. The aim of the Fascist! at Bologna is to expel the Prefect beyond Romagna. Troops have been despatched by the Government to the scene. Signor Facta (Italian Premier) has ordered the disarming of the Fascist! but the latter refuse to give up their arms. They have sacked a number of socialists’ and communists’ meeting places. Signor Nitti’s followers are violently attacking the Ministry over the crisis. A political crisis is now likely to ensure.
