In an interview, Mr ifasscy said that with inference to the coming sitting ot Parliament, it was quite impossible for him to forecast the length of the session. but it would be necessary to finish it in time to hoi" the general election at the usual time. Included in the coming legislation, he said, there would be the annual taxation bill, and a new policy measure dealing with taxation, but he was unable to say definitely what the measure would contain. In connection with New Zealand « naval contribution, the Prime Minister said that this could not be fixed until the next imperial conference, the date of which had not yet been settled. .As far as population and ability were concerned, New Zealand was wiUing to do her share.
