£250,000 FOR WORKS. MASSEY’S CALL TO LOCAL BODIES CHRISTCHURCH, May 28. Replying to a deputation regarding unemployment here, Mr Massey said that £250,000 was available for works for the unemployed this winter. He would do everything it could to provide than they had done. The Government would do everythin gti could to provide work. The money should be expended on works of a permanent character. Regarding the unemployed soldiers, the Government would do its best to see none were unemployed.
