MASSEY’S FEAR OF DELAY. QUESTION OF CHRISTMAS OPENING. CHRISTCHURCH, May 28. Mr Massey stated here that it was just possible that some of the material required for tire completion of the tunnel might be delayed through the serious strike of engineers in England. Everything else was ami if the machinery and other appliances mentioned came to hand, the opening of the tunnel could be effected by Christmas.
