ELECTRIC POWER SCHEME
HAWKE’S BAY ENTERPRISE. HASTINGS, Alay 17. Ihe formal opening of the Havelock Yurih hydro electric power scheme, 250 h.p.. from the AJui\ctotara stream, for a local supply, took place this afternoon in the presence of representatives (-f Napier, Hastings, Waipukurau, and Hav.kc’s Bay local bodies. Several speakers stressed the delay ot’ ihe (rovernment regarding the pushing on the Waipukurau scheme, and urged that pressure b«‘ brought on the Government, or else that local bodies follow the lead of Havelock North, and take the matter into their own hands.
