ST. COLUMBA CLUB.
SUCCESSFUL GLEE EVENING. The inaugural soeitey’s evening at the St. Columba Club held last- evening pi-oved a huge success. The (Tub rooms were filled to overflowing, a grcait numbers of the fair sex being present. The proceedings opened with "‘A, Little Bit of Xunshine” by the Alaiist School boys, under the conductors]) ip ot Rev. Bro. Houdi*i(k. tendered in fine style. As a.u encore, the boys gave a lousing football chorus, v stirred the ifootljaill instincts of nIF, ca.using a hea.rty chorus. The Glee Club then rendered “Omaha, ’’ and a.s an encore gave “Beautiful Ohio.’’ Air L. Stapp dehgnrc<-( the Audience with “Sea Fever.rendered touchingly. A sim encore “Jock the Fiddler’’ bright and merry, under appropriate treatment found quick re sponse from the audience. During tho ex'eiiing. bv courtesv of Rev. Father Long, a series of excellent graniaphone records were rendered, giving a. high tone to the entertainment. The evening concluded with. “Hiawatha’s Melody of Love,” given by Ihe (Hee Club followed by “ God Save I reland.’’
