Mr and Mrs N. Murley have gone from Reefton to take up their residence at Waiuta.
Miss G. Conway, late of 'Westport District High Schol, aond daughter of Mrs E. C(|uway, Reefton, has been appointed to the staff of the Mt. Cook Girls’ School at Wellington.
Mr C. F. Somorfield, who takes charges of Westport section of railways, and who was for sonic time in charge of Rakaia, in Canterbury, passed through Wellington a few days ago en route to Westport from Auckland.
At the practice of the Municipal Baud yesterday Mr J. 'Williams was the recipient of a handsome cruet service to mark the occasiocn of his recent joining of the benedicts. Mr Compton, who made the presentation, on behalf of the band members, wished both Mr Williams and his wife every success and prosperity for the future.
The death occurred at Reefton of Mrs Neil Olsen, eldest daughter of Mrs Banks, after a lengthy illness, death being accelerated by a couple of paralytic strokes. Dr Scott attended the sufferer, who was about 40 years of age, and a native of the Inangahua district. She leaves a. husband and family, and several other relatives, who have the sympathy of many friends. The funeral took place on Saturday.
