EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Kamona, week-end from Wellington. 1 Orepuki, Saturday, from Lyttelton. NOTES. The Kakapo arrived yesterday morning from Westport, She will load coal here for Bluff, Dunedin and Tiinaru, sailing to-night. The Regulus sailed last evening for Westport where she will load coal for Nelson and Wanganui. The Karon is loading timber for Sydney and is expected to sail early next week. Thu Alexander is due to leave Wellington on either to-day or to-morrow for Greymouth via way ports, with general cargo. On discharge she loads coal for Nelson. The barquentine Wanganui left Bluff at 2.40 p.m. yesterday for Greymouth and should arrive here over the weekThu Coolana, the Melbourne Company’s new steamer, arrived last evening from Lyttelton. Thu vessel, which is in the command of Captain McDonald late of the s.s. Perth, will load timber for Melbourne and should be in port for nearly a week. IhC Coolana is the largest vested trading with this port, and her vi it will be interesting, particularly those who are acquainted with Cap tain McDonald. TELEGRAMS. Sailed at 2.40 p.m. barquentine Wanganui, for Greymouth. WELLINGTON, May IL Arrived at 4.30 p.m., Kamo from Greymouth. VALMARIE REFLOATED. NELSON, May 11. The Valmarie which went ashore at Farewell Spit, several weeks ago, has been refloated and is being towed to Wellington. The voyage commenced this morning. The deck fittings arc knocked about, but the hull is sound 1 and making no water. WRECKAGE REPORTED. SYDNEY, May 11. . ■ The Fiona reported by radio that she passed floating wreckage, dangerous,
to navigation, en route from Auckland to Sydney. The wreckage consisted of six baulks of timber attached to planking with an iron frame in. one corner, situated 330 miles north east of Sydney.
